Project Management Level
The Manage at Task Level check box determines whether Person Assignments and Expense Budgets will be made at the project level or at the task level.
Warning: changing this value will remove any existing assignments/expense budgets for this project. Care should be taken to set this value appropriately prior to entering any project or task level person assignments/expense budgets.
This setting has two additional sub-options:
Require Tasks for Time Reporting -- Determines whether or not to force the timesheet users to select a task for this project when entering time. If the project is defined with the Manage Person Assignments/Expense Budgets at the Task Level flag set to "Yes" (checked), this value will always be "Yes" (checked).
Require Tasks for Expense Reporting -- Determines whether or not to force the expense users to select a task for this project when entering expenses. If the project is defined with the Manage Person Assignments/Expense Budgets at the Task Level flag set to "Yes" (checked), this value will always be "Yes" (checked).
Note that both of these options will only impact time entered after the setting is checked.
